BIDIRECTIONAL OPTICAL MODULE USING WDM COUPLER

PURPOSE: A bidirectional optical module using a WDM(Wavelength Divisional Multiplexing) coupler is provided to manufacture an accurate substrate by using a semiconductor silicon process and a passive alignment method. CONSTITUTION: A bidirectional optical module using a WDM coupler includes a light receiving device(118), a light emitting device(120), a WDM coupler, and a substrate(110). The WDM coupler includes two lines(132a,132b) and a common line. The lines(132a,132b) are optically coupled to the light receiving device(118) and the light emitting device(120). The lines(132a,132b) are unified by the common line. The substrate(110) includes an optical device installation portion(112) and an optical line installation portion(114). The receiving device(118) and the light emitting device(120) are installed on the optical device installation portion(112). The lines(132a,132b) are installed on the optical line installation portion(114).
