PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for melting a glass, which controls the inside temperatures of a melter and a refiner with ease, minimizes the energy loss and decreases the air pollution. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for melting a glass comprises a melter(1) for melting a glass charge, a charge supplying part for supplying the glass charge into the melter(1) and a refiner for purifying the molten glass in the melter(1). The apparatus is characterized in that the melter(1) comprises: a hollow electric heat tube(11) receiving the glass charge and generating Joule heat by means of a power supply applied from the outside; and a pair of a first connection terminals(13) disposed on the outer surface of the electric heat tube(11) and providing the power supply from the outside to the electric heat tube(11).
