PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently synthesizing a 2,6-diamino- substituted pyridine compound in few steps. SOLUTION: The method for synthesizing the 2,6-diamino-substituted pyridine compound of the general formula (III) comprises carrying out a reaction of a 2,6-dichloropyridine compound of the general formula (I) with an amino compound of the general formula (II), wherein the total amount of bases including the amino compound of the general formula (II) to be used is≤4 equivalent based on the 2,6-dichloropyridine compound of the general formula (I). In the formulae (I), (II), and (III), R<SP>1</SP>is cyano; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each H or a substituent; and R and R' are each H, a (substituted) alkyl, (substituted) aryl or (substituted) heterocyclic group, except that R and R' are hydrogen atoms at the same time.
