The device is used for colour-blind people. in distinguishing the colour at close proximity objects (25 to 80 cm, not more than 1.20 m) for uses in the house and in some professions (chemists, biologists). It includes optical prism(s) - alone or in combination with lenses, through which man can observe a given coloured object found in close proximity to him. At the same moment he also observes a glass pattern in the form of colour rectangles (2) arranged in one row across the middle of the pattern. Part of the rectangles (2) are left with no colour (transparent), the remaining (the peripheral) part of the pattern is coloured in white and is fitted over the surface of the coloured object. 10 claims, 3 figures
