PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing beat interference in a DAB (digital audio broadcasting) tuner, which can avoid interference waves, without incurring complexity in circuits. SOLUTION: The method for preventing interference waves is the one for a DAB tuner for frequency-converting an L band RF signal to an intermediate frequency signal by down-conversion. The purpose is solved by a DAB tuner interference wave preventing method, with the oscillation frequency of a local oscillator determined based on a frequency of the intermediate frequency signal being set up so that the oscillation frequency is away from a passband of BPF, which passes the L-band RF signal.
