PURPOSE: A portable interpreter is provided to transmit correctly an intention of a person who dose not know a corresponding language by using a visual method. CONSTITUTION: A portable interpreter includes a cover(1), a fixing portion(19), and a sentence card(7). The cover(1) is folded within a main body of the portable interpreter. The cover(1) is unfolded to a left side and a right side. The sentence card(7) is inserted into the inside of the cover(1) to turn the sentence card(7) to the outside of the cover(1). A question box(11), an answer box(13), and a supplementary word box are formed on the sentence card(7). Contents of the question are recorded on the sentence card(7).
