PURPOSE: A seal pattern for a liquid crystal display device is provided to effectively prevent the splashing of a seal material to obtain a stable seal pattern and the permeation of HF during etching step, thereby improving the reliability of the LCD. CONSTITUTION: A seal pattern for a liquid crystal display device includes a substrate(210) defined with a display area and a non-display area, a main seal pattern(264) formed on an edge part of the display area, and a liquid crystal implantation hole(262) formed at a side of the main seal pattern. The liquid crystal implantation hole is formed with a plurality of implantation dams(261) with a predetermined interval. The non-display area connected to the main seal pattern is formed with a dummy seal pattern part(272), which has first to third dummy seal patterns(272a-272c) with a predetermined interval in the same direction. The dummy seal patterns are formed in the same direction with the main seal pattern having the liquid crystal implantation hole to prevent the splashing of the main seal pattern during the printing of the main seal pattern. The third dummy pattern has third to fifth openings(274c-274e) asymmetrically corresponding to first and second openings(274a,274b) of the first and second dummy patterns for preventing the introduction of the atmospheric air and the HF solution.
