Error management method, especially for automation systems, requires checking for errors in critical safety data

A method for improving error- and fault-management measures with automation systems comprising of at least one standard-CPU module with integrated software, at least one error-proof peripheral module and at least one communications channel for communicating between the standard-CPU-module and the error-proof peripheral module. When checking for errors in critical safety data and/or checking for errors during processing of critical safety data within the standard-CPU-module, a combination from diversity and coded processing of data and/or of operators is used.
