<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system for limiting print for each user in an environment where printing devices connected to a large-scale network are shared by a plurality of users. <P>SOLUTION: This print system is provided with: a plurality of print networks 50 where computers 30 and printing devices 40 are connected through a network to one print limiting server 10 for managing them; and one authentication server 20 connected through the network to those print networks 50 for registering the authentication information of a user. When a user uses the printing device 40, the authentication server 20 is inquired thorough the print limiting server 10 to which the printing device 40 is belonging, and a print job is issued through the print limiting server 10. When the job ends, log-out is noticed. The print limiting server 10 decides the validity/invalidity of print of the transmitted print job on the basis of the authentication information of the user transmitted from the authentication server 20, and erases the authentication information of the user according to the reception of the log-out notice. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
