<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly deal with addition of a new path by realizing a highly flexible photonic network, even when configuring a photonic network, while effectively utilizing a network resource by using a small number of 3R repeaters. <P>SOLUTION: Setting of a path is performed, taking into consideration the cost of a 3R relay, when setting the path. Namely, the 3R relay cost of own node is calculated and the calculation result is notified to other nodes, 3R relay costs notified from other nodes are added up; and when there are a plurality of choices for shortest path, a short path which minimizes the 3R relay cost is selected, based on the calculation result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
