<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure capable of effectively realizing the protection of the head part of a pedestrian for a strut mount. <P>SOLUTION: An annular projecting part 35 projecting downward along a recessed groove 18 of vibration-proof rubber 17 is integrally formed on a bottom surface 33a of an inner rib 33 facing to the strut mount 10. When the head part of the pedestrian is collided and a hood 30 is deformed downward, impact is absorbed by making a projecting end part 36 of the projecting part 35 abut on the recessed groove 18 and elastically deforming the vibration proof rubber 17. When the hood 30 is deformed downward by more than prescribed quantity, impart is absorbed by plastically deforming an outside leg part 37 of the projecting part 35 continuous to a side surface of the inner rib 33 on an outer peripheral side of the projecting end part 36. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
