PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package of recording medium such as a rolled paper capable of preventing the recording medium from being stained. SOLUTION: This package comprises a rolled paper RP having a band-like recording paper 1 wound in a cylindrical shape and a packing material 2 for packing the rolled paper. The packing material 2 has a hole 2c for use in inserting a shaft 103 into a central hole 1a of the rolled paper RP. Accordingly, it is possible to inset the shaft 103 before unsealing of the packing material 2 and further to unseal the packing material 2 after installing the package in a printer and the like.
