PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To independently adjust spring force for enforcing a free piston for securing the pressure in a damper. SOLUTION: A front fork has a damper D on the axis thereof in the state that a suspension spring S is arranged, and secures the pressure in the damper during elongation and contraction by means of a free piston 4 arranged in the oil in an inner reservoir chamber R. The front fork has a casing 7 formed as a cylinder into which a piston rod 2 composing the damper D on the axis thereof is inserted to support the lower end of the suspension spring S at its upper end. The casing 7 is seated on the head 1a of a cylinder 1 also composing the damper D. The free piston 4 is arranged in the casing 7 so as to vertically move. The free piston 4 is seated on the head 1a by being enforced by means of a special enforcing spring 8 retained in the casing 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
