PURPOSE: To obtain the metal oxide wire not causing the lowering of a critical electric current even in a magnetic field, strong in mechanical deformation, and improving the density of the critical electric current. CONSTITUTION: The metal oxide wire material comprises a core material produced by impregnating the melted liquid of silver or its alloy 2 in superconductors 1 comprising a metal oxide containing boron as a constituting element and expressed by the formula, (Ln1-a Caa )(Sr2-b Bab )(Cu1-c Bc )Cu2 Od (Ln is an element selected from Y and lanthanide element groups; 0.1<=a<=0.4, 0.7<=b<=1.7 and 0.1<=c<=0.5, 6.5<=d<=7.5), and a conductive substance 3 attached to the outer periphery of the core material. |
