The present invention relates to a shaped article for high purity applicatio ns comprising at least one peroxide curable compound comprising a substantially gel-free butyl polymer. In another of its aspects, the present invention relates to a sealing material and a medical device comprising at least one peroxide-curable compound comprising a substantially gel-free butyl polymer. In still another of it's aspects, the present invention relates to a fuel cell comprising at least one peroxide curable compound comprising a substantially gel-free butyl polymer. In still another of its aspects, the present invention relates to halogen-free and sulfur-free shape d articles.
