<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for detecting that a person or a person' s face protrudes from an image photographed by a video camera. <P>SOLUTION: An image pickup means 11 successively acquires images including an object. When the images are acquired by the image pickup means 11, an inter-frame difference calculating means 12 calculates the difference of each pixel between the image and the previously acquired image. A judging part 18 judges that the object protrudes from the upper part of the image when the pixels whose differential values exceed a predetermined value exist by more than a first threshold within an upper region preliminarily decided from the upper side with first width. The judging part 18 judges that the object protrudes from the right of the image when those pixels exist by more than a second threshold within the right region. The judging part 18 judges that the object protrudes from the left of the image when those pixels exist by more than a third threshold in the left region.
