The heater-cooler for a motor vehicle interior has a heat exchanger for a heat exchange fluid in direct contact with a wall (13) of the interior. The wall is chosen to be immediately adjacent to a glazed surface (14) and /or an occupant receiving surface of the vehicle. The heater can have an auxiliary heater or cooler with a ventilator connected to the vehicle heater or air conditioner.
