1319197 Benzamides ISTITUTO CHEMIOTERAPICO ITALIANO SpA 27 May 1971 [26 June 1970] 17702/71 Heading C2C Novel benzamides of the formula wherein x is 3 to 8, one of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 is H, and the other two, which may be the same or different, are methyl, ethyl or propyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, are prepared by reacting salts of amino acids of the formula with the corresponding 3,4,5-acetoxydialkoxybenzoyl chlorides at temperatures of - 5‹ to 10‹ C. Pharmaceutical compositions, suitable for oral or parenteral administration, contain the above novel compounds or salts thereof and pharmaceutical carriers therefor. The compositions are used in the treatment of prophylaxis of ischemic cardiac disorders. |
