PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing filter medium capable of certainly fixing and holding an adsorbent comprising activated carbon or the like even if the filling amount of the adsorbent is much and excellent in folding processability, filter medium rigidity and ventilation resistance. SOLUTION: The gap between both nonwoven fabrics 2 and 8 for removing dust is filled with a mixture prepared by uniformly mixing an adsorbent 5a with a large particle size, an adsorbent 5b with a small particle size and a granular hot-melt binder 6 and the mixture is heated and pressed to be integrated into a sheetlike shape. The particles of the adsorbents 5a and 5b are mutually fixed and held by the hot-melt binder 6 and the nonwoven fabrics 2 and 8 are also bonded. The density of the adsorbent 5 becomes high and the filter medium is reduced in thickness as a whole to be reduced in ventilation resistance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
