A diver course tracking unit has a speed sensor and fluxgate compass and timer producing electronic direction and time pulses and may use acceleration sensor and depth sensor all feeding a computer to calculate the course covered by the diver and contained in a waterproof wrist unit with USB (Universal Serial Bus) or serial infrared or Bluetooth wireless link to a text or graphic display.
