It is intended to provide medicinal compositions which are advantageous as sealants for wound, etc. and have an effect of strongly promoting the healin g of intractable wounds or operative wounds without any risk of side effects such as canceration accompanying the promotion of tissue generation. Namely, medicinal compositions characterized by containing a photocrosslinkable chitosan derivative and a wound healing promoter. It is preferable that the photocrosslinkable chitosan derivative has a saccharide having a reducing en d which has been introduced into at least a part of the amino groups in the chitosan skeleton and a photoreactive group which has been introduced into a t least another part thereof. It is preferable that the wound healing promoter is a cell proliferative factor.
