PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starting device for a vehicle to excellently start an engine without damaging quietness and responsiveness to starting during starting of an engine. SOLUTION: In a case of a hybrid vehicle, when the starting demand of an engine is established during steady running by a motor at a step S10, an engine starting device decides the starting number NeA of revolutions, at which fuel injection and ignition are started, based on a pedaling amount of an accelerator pedal at a step S14. Since, when an accelerator pedaling amount is low, the starting number NeA of evolutions is set to a high value, the engine is smoothly started. Meanwhile, since, when an accelerator pedaling amount is high, the starting number NeA of revolutions is set to a low value, rapid startability is provided. |
