PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily hold and transport plate-like small workpiece to be additionally machined. SOLUTION: This conveying device conveys the plate-like small workpiece 20 to a position of the machining device 40. A machined surface of the small workpiece 20 is exposed, the opposite surface is adhered to an adhesive surface of an adhesive sheet 1 for transportation, the workpiece 20 is conveyed to the position of the machining device 40 by transportation of the adhesive sheet 1, machined surface of the small workpiece 20 undergoes a predetermined machining by the machining device 40 while the small workpiece 20 is adhered to the adhesive sheet 1, and then the adhesive sheet 1 is transported to peel the small workpiece 20 from the adhesive surface.
