PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make anybody to recognize a status of a remote control unit of an electronic lock system at a glance. SOLUTION: The electronic lock system includes an electronic lock body 4, and the remote control unit 1 which is composed of a cellular phone 3 with a display device 11 and radio communication equipment 2 which is connected to a serial communication terminal 9 of the cellular phone 3. In the electronic lock system, the device 3 is equipped with a code converting means 7 for converting status information of its own into code information which can be displayed on the display device 11 and a transmission means 8 for transmitting the code information to the cellular phone 3; and the cellular phone 3 is equipped with a control means 10 for displaying the code information for reception on the display device 11.
