<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for dividing coated optical fiber ribbons which can accurately divide different kinds of coated optical fiber ribbons only by a single separation tool. <P>SOLUTION: A guide member 20 equipped with a guide groove part 21 where the coated optical fiber ribbons can be stored is fitted and fixed in a replaceable state to a guide fitting part 16 having a fitting base part 17 and an engagement hole 18, and the guide member 20 is replaced according to the kind of the optical fiber ribbons to be divided, so that various optical fiber ribbons can be divided. Further, a side wall surface 23 of the guide groove part 21 is obliquely provided and errors between the guide groove part and the width of the coated optical fiber ribbons accompanying size errors of the size of the optical fiber ribbons can automatically be adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
