<p>A promotional article, such as for advertising, product sampling or information supplying, includes a support substrate having a substantially flat housing formed thereon and a strip substantially enclosed within the housing. The housing is formed by folding over a flap portion of the support substrate. The strip has a fixing portion and a tongue portion, wherein the tongue portion is at least partially detachable from the fixing portion and the fixing portion is fixed to an inner surface of the housing. Thus, the tongue portion of the strip can be at least partially removed from within the housing by pulling the tongue portion from the fixing portion. A method for manufacturing a promotional article according to the present invention generally includes the steps of forming a fixing portion and a tongue portion on a strip, fixing the fixing portion of the strip to a flat surface of a substrate and forming a substantially flat housing by folding a flap portion of the substrate over the strip to substantially enclose the strip. The tongue portion of the strip is at least partially detachable from the fixing portion and can be at least partially removed from within the housing by pulling the tongue portion from the fixing portion.</p> |
