PURPOSE: A method for updating a network device drive program, and network devices for performing the same method are provided to update the program for driving network devices by using the same network protocol. CONSTITUTION: The first network device, one among plural network devices exchanging data among one another by using the same network protocol, receives and stores a new drive program, and transmits data on the new drive program to the second network device(10). The second network device checks whether the new drive program has been already stored based on the received data, and according to the check result, requests the first network device to transmit the new drive program(12, 14, 16). The second network device receives the new drive program from the first network device(19).
