PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression-molding method by which no molding failure is generated, even when a synthetic resin material (46) is dropped somewhat deviated from the center axis of a female die (20) and a good preform can be stably molded, and an assembly of compression mold. SOLUTION: The part, of the female die, which defines the outer peripheral face of a side wall (12) of a blow-molded part (6) of the preform (2), on the molding cavity defining surface of the female die of the assembly (16) of compression mold is satin-finished.
