PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unconformity in producing or box making without spoiling easy locking property and certainty. SOLUTION: In locking the flaps of this paper box, an end flap 3 and a side flap 4 extended from each one pair of end walls 1 and side walls 2 are fitted. The tip end of the flap 3 is protrusive provided with a receiving piece 8 whose both side edges form a right angle or an obtuse angle relative to its side end edge. The tip end of the flap 4 is formed with a butt part 9 not extending sideways. Simply by deeply folding the side flap 4 following the end flap 3, both sides of the part 9 are pushed toward the inside face of the piece 8 to be locked. Defective punching in production or defective locking during box making is prevented because there is no projection toward a groove or sideways at the tip end of the flap 3 and 4.
