PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicament inhibiting the production of interleukin-12, therefore effective for treating diseases associated with interleukin-12. SOLUTION: The medicament comprises a 3-trifluoromethylanilide derivative of formula (1) äwherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a morpholino group, thiomorpholino group, piperazinyl group, a 1-5C alkyl-substituted piperazinyl group, piperidyl group, pyrrolidinyl group, indazolyl group or benzimidazol group; R<SP>2</SP>is H, OH, a 1-5C hydroxyalkyl group, COOH, a 1-5C alkylsulfonamido group, -OPO(OH)<SB>2</SB>, -OPO(OCH<SB>2</SB>Ph)<SB>2</SB>, -OPO[OC(CH<SB>3</SB>)<SB>3</SB>]<SB>2</SB>, -PO(OCH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>3</SB>)<SB>2</SB>, -PO(OH)<SB>2</SB>, -CH<SB>2</SB>OPO[OC(CH<SB>3</SB>)<SB>3</SB>]<SB>2</SB>, -CH<SB>2</SB>OPO(OH)<SB>2</SB>, -CH<SB>2</SB>PO(OCH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>3</SB>)<SB>2</SB>, -CH<SB>2</SB>PO(OH)<SB>2</SB>or -OSO<SB>3</SB>H; R<SP>3</SP>is H or a 1-5C alkyl group; and X is -CH<SB>2</SB>CONH-, -CONH-, -CONHCH<SB>2</SB>-, -CONHCH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>-, -CON(CH<SB>3</SB>)-, -CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>-, -CH<SB>2</SB>O-, -CH=CH- or -CH<SB>2</SB>NH-} or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
