PURPOSE: A hair cosmetic composition containing grapefruit extract having effects of preventing and removing dandruff and preventing pruritus is provided. Therefore, it inhibits the proliferation of Pityrosporum ovale as dandruff-causing bacteria and has excellent effects of preventing dandruff, removing scalp itch and sterilizing and excellent safety for a human body. CONSTITUTION: The hair cosmetic composition having an effect of preventing and removing dandruff contains 0.002 to 10% by weight of a grapefruit extract, based on the total weight of the composition. The composition is a shampoo, rinse, hair conditioner, hair tonic, hair treatment composition, hair mousse and hair spray type. For an example, 0.2% by weight of a grape extract is mixed with 20% by weight of each of sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium lauryl polyoxyethylene sulfate, 2% by weight of each of propylene glycol and fatty acid diethanolamide, 0.2% by weight of paraoxybenzoate, a suitable amount of fragrances, pigments and citric acid and purified water to produce a shampoo.
