PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a magnetic head from being floated from a fixed point to thereby enhance the reliability and improve the utilizing efficiency of the magnetic disk. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk 11, being a recording disk medium, has data recording areas 111,..., and a backup data recording area 116resulting from concentrically dividing the disk into a plurality of tracks from the outer circumference to the inner circumference, and every other area among a plurality of the areas are selected to be the data recording areas 111, 113, and 115on which data are recorded.
