PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cap nut capable of simply, easily, visually and rapidly recognizing the fastening force of a screw. SOLUTION: A rod shaped material (a) is cut to a prescribed length to form a blank (b). The blank (b) is headed to form a cap nut N having an internal thread N1 formed in a central part, a polygonal nut N2, and a semi-spherical cap head N2. The nut N2 is provided with an integral tapered flange seat N4 having a prescribed elasticity and protruding in a horn shape downward from the outer peripheral part of its lower surface.
