PURPOSE:To attain a picture display with high picture quality, light weight and compactness without color deviation and uneven color by constituting the titled equipment by a sole projective optical system, a sole light source system and liquid crystal light bulbs corresponding to the three prinary colors. CONSTITUTION:A white light projected from a light source 7 comprising a halogen lamp, a metallic hallide lamp and a reflecting plate 8 is condensed by a condenser lens 5 and made incident in a dichroic mirror. Only a blue light is extracted among the white light by a blue reflection dichroic mirror 1 having a blue reflection plane 10, only a red light is extracted among the white light by a red reflection dichroic mirror 2 having a red reflection plane combined in crossing with the mirror 1 and the remaining green light is transmitted as it is. Thus, the light separated into the three primary colors is deflected for its direction by the mirror 3 and made incident in a transmission type liquid crystal light bulb 4. The transmission type liquid crystal light bulb 4 is placed at a position from which the image is formed onto a screen 9 through a projective lens 6, the red, green, blue video signals are fed to each liquid crystal panel and a monochroic picture corresponding to each color light is formed. Thus, each modulated color light is synthesized by the reverse method to the color separation. |
