PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to express a picture pattern such as a landscape and patterns and to obtain a highly decorative article. SOLUTION: Translucent color ink 14 is applied like dots to the lower surface of a transparent film 13 of a dial plate 10 arranged in a wrist watch case and an EL element 12 is arranged on the lower side of the dial plate 10. Thereby a color picture pattern such as a landscape and patterns can be expressed by the color ink applied to the transparent film 13 like dots. When the film 13 is illuminated by external light on a bright position, the picture pattern of the color ink 14 can be observed, and when the color ink 14 is illuminated by emitting the EL element 12 on a dark position, the pattern of the color ink 14 can be observed through the film 13. Since the picture pattern of the color ink 14 can be observed on both the bright and dark positions, the highly decorative article can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
