<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a positive ghost caused by optical memory, in an image forming apparatus that conducts reverse development with an a-Si photosensitive body. <P>SOLUTION: A charge-injection blocking layer 12, a photoconductive layer 13, and a surface layer 14 are formed in a laminate on the surface of a conductive support 11, thereby forming the a-Si photosensitive drum 1. A primary electrification process (a), an image exposure process (b), and a developing process (c) are performed on the photosensitive drum 1, and a pre-exposure process (d) is subsequently performed from above the toner image. Because the pre-exposure is intercepted by the toner, optical carrier generated by the pre-exposure eliminates the effect of the image exposure, and remaining optical carrier is uniformized as shown in (e). Thus, electric potential in the subsequent primary electrification process is uniformized as shown in (f). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
