PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor in which examination to utilize a synchronizing signal is made possible without inputting the synchronizing signal from the outside. SOLUTION: An image generating part 102 generates image data of a tomographic image based upon an electric signal received from a transmitting- receiving part 12 via a control part 101. A concerned area setting part 103 sets a concerned area to the generated tomographic image. A feature quantity extracting part 104 extracts a feature quantity (such as capacity of the left ventricle of the heart, for example) with respect to the set concerned area. A synchronizing signal generating part 105 generates the synchronizing signal based upon the extracted feature quantity. A synchronizing information application part 106 applies information presenting the generated synchronizing signal to image data and stores them in an image data storage part 107. A data read part 109 reads the image data applied with the information presenting the synchronizing signal from the image data storage part 107, and an image display part 111 displays the tomographic image of the read image data.
