PURPOSE: A method for improving yield of a hard disk drive manufacturing process is provided to execute a burn-in test process directly after a function test process by omitting a pre-test process, thereby improving the work efficiency. CONSTITUTION: In an assembling process, a hard disk assembly is assembled in a clean room. In a servo write process, a servo writer writes server recording patterns on a disk to control servo of an actuator. In a function test process, it is tested whether the hard disk assembly and a PCB are normally matched with each other and operated, wherein a self-program for self-reading/writing of the hard disk drive is downloaded. In a burn-in test process, defects of the disk are detected so that a user normally uses the hard disk drive. In a final test process, a defect processing state is tested. In an acceptance test, maintenance information of the hard disk drive is read to finally test the hard disk drive.
