PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for finding a viscoelasticity characteristic in a high frequency region of 10000 rad/s or more so as to grasp viscoelasticity behavior in a wide frequency region when various shear rates are applied to a used material. SOLUTION: A fluid 3 having dispersed minute particles 2 as scattering particles is reserved in a water tank 1. A transparent glass container is used for side faces of the water tank 1 where laser lights enter. The laser lights 4, 5 with the identical wavelength enter from the transparent side faces and intersect in the fluid 3. An interference pattern is obtained at an intersection location and received by a light receiver 6. A glass plate 7 in the fluid 3 is sinusoidally vibrated by an electromagnetic exciter along a y-axis. A storage modulus G' and a loss modulus G" are calculated by finding velocity decay curves of the minute particles 2 at three arbitrary locations or more. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
