PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity for color development, and high maximum density as well as improved preservability of green sample and improved light resistance by using a specified magenta coupler in a silver halide color photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A coupler expressed by the formula I and being capable of forming a magenta dye stuff is incorporated into a silver halide color photographic sensitive material. In the formula I, R1 is an aryl group R2 is an anilino, acylamino, ureido group, etc.; R3 is a sulfonyloxy, acyloxy, carbamoyl group, etc.; R4 is an H atom, halogen atom, hydroxy group, alkyl group, etc.; n is an integer 1-4. Thus, a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having high reaction activity, being capable of forming a dye stuff in high yield without generating unnecessary fog nor stain, and forming a stable coupler, is obtd., which provides a color photograph with superior color developability just as it is used immediately after manufacture even if it is used after preservation for a long time. |
