<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate spreading codes in every phase with an extremely simple arithmetic circuit, by taking a middle tap from one code generator, without having a plurality of code generators and calculating it by exclusive OR, or, to generate a number of peculiar spreading codes different in phase, without needing the initial setting in each communication device or the custody of the initial value. <P>SOLUTION: The code generator, composed of three stages of shift registers 1-3 and an exclusive-OR circuit FX-OR4 generates a plurality of spreading codes different in phase, with the length of codes of seven chips constituting one cycle, using the output from the shift register in each stage, the output from exclusive-OR circuits EX-OR5 to 7 for calculating the exclusive OR of the fellow output of the shifter in each stage, and the output from an exclusive-OR circuit EX-OR8 for computing the exclusive-OR of the output of the shift registers and the output of the exclusive-OR circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
