The self locking platform (100) for chimneys has at least two platform panels connected by a linear bearing (110). Each platform has multiple pivotally mounted fastenings to engage the outer sleeve surface of a chimney. One fastening forms a pivotal support having teeth with pointed tips facing the chimney sleeve having different spacings from the pivot axis (122).
