Side frame member for bed is made from solid wood strips with separate side panels and with a cladding

A side frame member for a bed, e.g. for a hospital bed, is made by bonding together two solid wood strips (1a, 1b) and covering both sides of the frame member by shaped strips (2, 3) of wood, MDF or of any wood type material. The side strips are likewise attached by adhesive. The top of the frame member is contoured as is the base. The cladding (4) covers the top and sides and in some cases also the base.
