PURPOSE: A method for processing a PACA(Priority Access Channel Assignment) queue in a mobile communication system is provided to perform an efficient call by requesting retransmission to an MS(Mobile Station) by using a PACA function defined in an IS-95C, when resources of a BSC(Base Station Controller) with respect to the MS having priority do not exist. CONSTITUTION: A BCP(BTS(Base station Transceiver Subsystem) Control Processor)(20-3) receives an origination call from an MS(10), and transmits a message, for informing whether it is possible for supporting a PACA function and assigning resources, to a BSC(30). If it is possible for supporting the PACA function and it is impossible for assigning the resources, an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(40) loads PACA priority information and time stamp information in a PACA command message, and instructs the BSC(30) to manage PACA priority information and time stamp information in a PACA queue. The BCP(20-3) instructs a channel card(20-1) to manage PACA information about the corresponding call in the PACA queue. The BCP(20-3) transmits a PACA message, for informing that the corresponding call is managed in the PACA queue, to the MS(10), and informs the position of the PACA queue of the corresponding call to the MS(10). The BCP(20-3) transmits a retransmission request message to the MS(10) in a time in which idle resources are generated. The MS(10) receives a retransmission PACA message and starts a call setup. |
