PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic/inorganic composite excellent in optical transparency and its laminate. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing an organic/inorganic composite, wherein it is formed from an organic polymer and a metal alkoxide, the metal alkoxide is hydrolyzed and polycondensed until the metal alkoxide becomes not more than 3 vol.%, then an organic polymer is mixed to form an organic/ inorganic composite, and increasing or decreasing concentration gradient of the metal element of the metal alkoxide from one end to the other end of the laminate is given by laminating the organic/inorganic composite.
