<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe and effective skin care preparation for aging prevention by eliminating singlet oxygen deeply participating in aging of the skin. <P>SOLUTION: An extract of Chamaenerion angustifolium (L.) Scop or Epilobium angustifolium L. having an action of eliminating singlet oxygen, as it is or incorporated into a carrier or an external preparation base, is used as a singlet oxygen elimination agent and as a skin care preparation for aging prevention; thus, the aging symptom of the skin, such as wrinkles or the decrease in skin elasticity, can be effectively prevented and improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
