PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifier for improving the effect of filtering at the time of filtering water to be processed and to facilitate maintenance and inspection work for the water purifier. SOLUTION: A filter 6 for filtering the water 2 to be processed sent out from a water pump 5 is provided with an upstream side filter 31 for making the water 2 to be processed flow in and filtering it and a downstream side filter 33 for making the water 2 to be processed from the upstream side filter 31 flow in and filtering it. The mesh of the filter 39 of the downstream side filter 33 is made smaller than the one of the filter 36 of the upstream side filter 31. A water discharge passage 48 through which the upstream side of the filter 36 in the upstream side filter 31 is made to freely openably and closably communicate toward the outer part of the upstream side filter 31 is included. A back wash device 44 for making compressed air 19 flow from the downstream side of the filter 36 in the upstream side filter 31 through the filter 36 to the water discharge passage 48 and a controller 84 for electronically controlling the back wash device 44 are included.
