<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can form high-quality images by correcting a scanning line curve by a simple constitution without damaging a durability of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Points of intersection P1 and P2 between a reference color scanning line 44Y and a scanning line 44M as a scanning line to be corrected are obtained. A scanning region X is divided to divided scanning regions X<SB>i</SB>with the points of intersection P1 and P2 being made dividing positions. For each divided scanning region X<SB>i</SB>, a scanning line 44M<SB>i</SB>is offset in a vertical scanning direction B so that the scanning line 44M<SB>i</SB>comes closer to a scanning line 44Y<SB>i</SB>. Newly generated points of intersection are added as dividing positions, and the scanning region X is further divided. The same process is repeated until a separating distance L between the scanning line 44M<SB>i</SB>and the scanning line 44Y<SB>i</SB>becomes not larger than a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
