<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow highly precise authentication all the time, in an authentication of a signature using a hand-writing input device. <P>SOLUTION: A Chinese character signature 27 of <Fujitsu>, or Fujitsu of an English character 27', for example, is input n-times from an input device 11 of an input equipment 13 in a signature authentication system, in registration of a signature. A signature data 28 thereof is provided to a sign information control part 16 of a host equipment 14, and an origin position of each point data in a holograph is grasped to calculate respective components of a holograph shape, a writing speed, a writing acceleration, and a writing pressure, in the each point. Combinations of nC2 are prepared in the each component in the inputs of the n-times, an inverse number (degree of similarity) in each difference is found to find an average value of the degrees of the similarity in the each component, a weight in the each degree of similarity is determined based on the average value, and a weighted mean of four components is calculated to be used as an integrated similarity degree of the registered signature. A signature data for collation is input m-times in the authentication. An integrated similarity degree of a collation signature is found by the same manner, the authentication is accepted when a difference between the registered signature and the collation signature is a threshold value or less, and non-authentication is determined when exceeding the threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
