PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a thermostat so that a terminal plate to which a lead wire is soldered does not protrude from a battery surface. SOLUTION: The terminal plate of the thermostat 2 is bent, and the lead wire 3 is soldered to the shortened terminal plate 22, a terminal plate 21 of the thermostat 2 is spot-welded to the negative electrode of a battery constituting the battery assembly. The thermostat 2 can be mounted so that the terminal plate 22 does not protrude from the surface of the small battery 1a, and the battery assembly to which the thermostat 2 is fitted can smoothly be housed in a battery assembly case.
